Articles published in Microcirculation are a result of investigations contributing significant new information relating to microcirculation addressed at the intact animal, organ, cellular or molecular level. The journal publishes articles that describe applications of methods in physiology, vascular surgery, cell biology, bioengineering, pathology, genetics, biophysics, molecular biology, biochemistry and immunology. Microcirculation also publishes state-of-the-art reviews that address frontier areas or new advances in technology in the field of microcirculatory disease.
