《机械设计杂志》（JMD）以设计综合为重点，为广大设计界提供设计活动各个方面的学术、档案研究。传统上，JMD服务于ASME设计工程部及其技术委员会，但它欢迎所有设计领域的贡献，重点是综合。JMD主要以相当深入的研究文章的形式传达原创贡献，同时也传达技术简报、设计创新论文、书评和社论。
英文简介
The Journal of Mechanical Design (JMD) serves the broad design community as the venue for scholarly, archival research in all aspects of the design activity with emphasis on design synthesis. JMD has traditionally served the ASME Design Engineering Division and its technical committees, but it welcomes contributions from all areas of design with emphasis on synthesis. JMD communicates original contributions, primarily in the form of research articles of considerable depth, but also technical briefs, design innovation papers, book reviews, and editorials.
