《天然药物杂志》是一本国际期刊，介绍了天然药物及其相关食品和化妆品的原始研究。它涵盖天然产物的化学；药用植物的生物化学；天然产物和草药的药理学，包括坎波配方和传统草药；植物解剖学；药用植物的培养。该杂志发表评论、小评论、原稿、笔记、快速通讯和自然资源书信。在《自然药物杂志》每一卷上发表的论文中，大约有三篇将由评选委员会成员选出，作为《自然药物杂志》奖。

The Journal of Natural Medicines is an international journal presenting original research in naturally occurring medicines and their related foods and cosmetics. It covers chemistry of natural products; biochemistry of medicinal plants; pharmacology of natural products and herbs, including Kampo formulas and traditional herbs; botanical anatomy; cultivation of medicinal plants.The journal publishes Reviews, Mini-Reviews, Original Papers, Notes, Rapid Communications and Natural Resource Letters.Of the papers published in each volume of the Journal of Natural Medicines, approximately three will be chosen by members of the Selection Committee for honors as the Journal of Natural Medicines Award.
